Abstract: Pelage color serves critical has important functions in mammals, including concealment, intraspecific communication and social, interaction ect.. A rare white color female Ffrancois’ langur was observed in DaxinGuangxi the Encheng National Natural Reserve, Daxin, Guangxi, China. Her coloration presents a stark contrasts to theother black pelage of other group members in the group and the forest environment, making her more conspicuousand easier to be detected. Observational data confirmstudy indicated that she has white hair, pink skin, fingers and nails, and black eyes with pigmentation in fingers and nails. She has successfully as well and bred three normal offspring with normal coloration for the speciess. Data available suggests that the white female francois langurthis individual exhibits is leucisim rather than albinism. OngoingPreliminary behavioral observations indicate a preference study showed white female for concealedprefer hidden positions., and Ffurther study on herindividual social interactions, foraging, and e and ranging behavior is ongoing will be continued to better explore her behavioral and ecological adaptation strategiesy.
